As a fan of the American TV series 'ER' I often wondered how on earth they came up with such off the wall medical complaints and scenarios to feature on the program. Now I know! 'The Real ER' is a collection of real-life emergency room experiences related to the author by (American) ER staff. Almost without exception, the punchy tales featured in this book beggar belief! But they are, apparently, all true! Side-splitting or touching, the stories always seem to hit the spot. Read it - but be warned - you'll never be able to look at a potato in quite the same way!
