Picked this book up at the library since it promises to be a collection of over 30 classic children's stories. However, once I got it home I discovered it's only EXTRACTS of these stories!

That they are only small extracts is only made clear in one sentence on the text in the inside cover. It should be clearly stated on the outside of the front cover. Instead, the front cover states, "OVER 30 FAVOURITE STORIES".

The extracts give no sense of the wonder and depth of the full stories.

It's just a cheap way to produce a thick book which promises but doesn't deliver.

Had I paid for this, I'd have been furious.
