The question of why Matthew played his entire footballing career at Southampton is one of the most common forms of attack on the player. About the Author
Born in 1968 in St Peter Port, Matthew Le Tissier signed for Southampton in 1985 and went on to score 209 goals (including 49 penalties out of 50) in 462 games, playing mainly in midfield. He was capped a measly 8 times for England. The force of this book lies in the space between those last two sentences.
