This review is from: Hester's Story (Hardcover)
This is a story of a motherless girl rejected by her father who spends a bleak childhood in Yorkshire. She learns ballet and becomes a prima ballerina. The author has a wonderful insight into the highs and lows of the ballerina's life, on and off stage. The book draws you into the world of ballet with it's passion, tradgey and friendships. I just could not put the book down and was drawn right into the heart of the story. Spellbinding. Now I want to read the author's other books.
