'The Spider's House is a complex journey which... embarks on a path of chilling discovery that'll have the hairs on the back of your neck standing on end. 3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad, a bit slow though., 21 Aug 2006
This review is from: The Spider's House (Paperback)
I thought this was a so-so read. It was a bit slow for the majority, and while the ending is good it takes a long time to get there.

The central character, Anna, is really annoying though. Despite finding out about her 'troubled' past, you don't really care about her. She isn't particularly likeable and seems to view the whole world through... what's the opposite of 'rose tinted spectacles'? Well, she's very negative anyway!

A good basis for a story, but just not the most gripping writing style.
