Product Description

Product Description

It was freezing cold on the day of the funeral, but as two young men looked down at the coffin containing the body of their best friend,it was not the temperature that made them shiver. They were thinking back to a time when the three of them had first met,in the playground years before. It had all seemed so easy then. But as they grew up,they began to discover that life was much more complicated than they'd ever imagined.

5.0 out of 5 stars Strongly-drawn characters and a classicly tragic plot, 10 Jul 1999
By A Customer
The book opens at the funeral of one of a group of friends whose lives are fated to intertwine. All the way through the book, I was sure I knew who was dead - the trouble was that the victim varied as the plot unfolded, and I kept changing my mind. It made me laugh and cry and was very difficult to put down.
