5.0 out of 5 stars likely to incite severe bout of wanderlust!, 25 Jun 2001
By A Customer
This is not a fancy book in especially elegant prose, but who needs all that when Lisa Clayton's story stands up so amazingly well on its own? Beginning with an account of the events leading up to her epic journey, most of the book is comprised of log entries and faxes sent home to Birmingham. It makes a great read, enhanced by the fact that you know she makes it in the end! The incredible danger and hardships are seemingly tempered by the wonderous sights along the way, which the photo sections help to convey. Highly recommended!
