This is a very readable but authoritative account of Roman Surrey, written by the Surrey County Archaeologist.

It is well illustrated with photographs, drawings and very helpful plans and maps.

It embodies the latest research but can be enjoyed by the interested amateur as well as making a valuable contribution to scholarship.

Highly recommended!
