4.0 out of 5 stars excellent tribute, 29 Jun 2007
By John Morgan (manchester - england.) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
As a young lad of 7 I used to go to Belle Vue and saw the late great Peter Craven in action. I was spoilt ,because to this day I have yet to see his equal for shear spectacle. This book is excellent because as well as documenting Peter's riding feats ,it gives a telling insight into the man beneath the leathers ( and pyjamahs he used to apparently wear underneath ! ).
I learned a lot and Brian Burford is to be commended for his research.
