4.0 out of 5 stars A superb look at Speedway history in Scotland, 10 Feb 2002

Fascinating look into the history of the sport in Scotland. From it's boom time in the early 30s,its decline in the 50s,its resurgance in the 60s,through to the present day.
Each of the main teams are given their own chapter with a brief run down on each season.A final section details short lived ventures and the ill fated Paisley Lions.
Full of interesting and sometimes rare photographs showing the excitement and the main men of the sport in Scotland.
Only criticism would be the lack of some league tables but this apart ,there are no statistics to get in the road of the nostalgia.
Worth a read if you're interested in the history of the sport. Certainly a worthy rival to similar books on the history of the sport in London and East Anglia.
