Having supported Walsall FC since the late 50's this book brought back vivid memories of players who's deeds were exegerated by parents , players who I grew up worshipping and those who are the current hero's.
Many books of this kind spend too much time on the big name stars , and yes Walsall has had big name stars, this book however includes not only the goal scoring heros but also the hard working journeymen.
This is a reference book , a look back at history but in a sensitive way and linking players to memorable occasions.
I would recommend this book to all football fans but especially to those Saddlers fans who follow the team through thick and thin.
