This collection of nearly 240 photographs and items of memorabilia traces the course of London's second oldest Football League club, from its foundation by former members of Homerton College in 1881 to the side that looks to climb up the divisions at the start of the twenty-first century.
The selection includes images covering all the highs and lows of the O's past - such as the troublesome early years, the outstanding 1955/56 and 1969/70 Division Three championship teams, the 1961/62 side that reached the top flight and the promotion heroes of 1988/89 - as well as many fascinating images and stories.
This superb pictorial history is supported with expert captions by Neilson N. Kaufman, the club's historian for over thirty years, who has already published several successful books on the club. It will appeal to all supporters of the O's as well as anyone with an interest in the history of the beautiful game.
