5.0 out of 5 stars A truly excellent book!, 30 Jul 2004
By A Customer
I have bought both this book and "Creating Garden Ponds and Water Features" (ISBN 0007106602), but this on is the only one you will really need. Despite its rather small size, and shorter number of pages, it contains all the essential information. Pictures are also quite small, but they are very nice and serve their purpose, so are quite enough.
The book is very complete, from choosing a spot for your pond, a style, all the way to emptying the pond for repairs. It has a short section on water plants as well, offering a good selection, but at that point you will want to move on to your plant books to have more information.
If you want to go further on the subject of water gardens, you will want to go for illustrative books, but for a 'how-to' one, this is all you need.
Given its price, this book is very good value for money.
