From the Publisher

The biggest and most beautiful book on flowers
What is the book about? Acclaimed flower stylist Malcolm Hillier combines his tremendous passion for plants with great design ingenuity to bring you the "bible" on flower arranging. Lavishly illustrated with over 2,000 photographs, "Flowers" is an inspirational sourcebook for all those who love to have a home full of flowers. The book includes:

hundreds of display ideas using fresh and dried flowers

close-up action shots and step-by-step sequences that make techniques clear and simple

ideas for all locations and occasions

both contemporary and traditional designs

a fully illustrated A-Z directory of the best plant material

About the author Malcolm Hillier's lifelong passion for plants and flowers first found fruition in 1970 when, together with Colin Hilton, he started a garden design practice that went on to enjoy an enviable reputation around the world. A few years later they opened a flower shop in Barnes, London, which became a thriving business specializing in flowers for interior decoration. Over the years Malcolm has created flower arrangments, in his highly distinctive style, for many clients, including the makers of major feature films and television series. Malcolm's other great passion is cooking for others. His homes in London and on the Caribbean island of Saba provide wonderful settings for entertaining his friends.

5.0 out of 5 stars just the thing for the budding florist, 27 Oct 2000
By A Customer
Having just embarked upon a floristry course, I found this book most helpful giving details that I needed for a project that I couldn't find elsewhere. I also found the photography brilliant. My only criticism is that it could have given a few more visual tips on how to do the displays.
