1.0 out of 5 stars Very POOR, 10 Dec 2001
this has nothing to do with robots, it is a collection of cardboard automatia, and not very good ones at that. If you are looking for Robots look elsware!

5.0 out of 5 stars Ultimate Robot Kit, 19 Mar 2003
I purchased this for my 5 year old son who loves robots. Although not able to construct the models himself he enjoyed helping me. Each one takes around 1 hour to build and to spin things out we made one per weekend. The 4 models were excellent and all performed differently. You are then left with some bits and pieces to put together your own DIYBOT. You can order more motors and spares separately if you want all robots working at once.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great fun!, 27 Mar 2003

Remember the cost of this item...not that great, when you consider it contains all the parts [1] to make six fun little models. It includes push-out stiff card chassis items, wooden axle rods, electric motor, wire, battery holder, stickers etc. Each of the six 'robots' is quite different; e.g. one will trundle round the room, automatically deflecting itself when it hits something. Nothing earth shattering, but my six year old loved it! At 19.99 I'm not sure I'd buy it; for less than that it is not bad value; that's why I gave it 4 and not 5. I think it is unfair to expect more from an item such as this....it is certainly a way of filling a rainy afternoon or two!

[1] You need glue and paper clips.
