4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent content on Fish Species and eating habits, 26 Jan 2001
By hugh.obrien@ntl.com (Dublin, Ireland) - See all my reviews
This is one of the few books on fresh water fishing, it is mainly based around fresh water fishing in the UK, however it does has some comments on the wider Europeans fish families.

Like most angling books today it has a limited and light section on equipment, tackle, rigs etc. The section on what bait to use is extremely good, as is the section on fishing techniques required. I would have liked to have seen more detail on pole fishing, but the section is one of the better ones written, it is just unfortunate that not more information was imparted on this subject.

Excellent read great pictures and diagrams, definitely one for the keen angler, new or old.
