At last a book about British police cars! In the past most publications have delat with law enforcement vehicles in the USA, but Malcolm Bobbitt's excellent book fills that gap. This is an extremely well researched work which covers police vehicles from the very earliest up to the present day with a large number of clear black and white photographs with informative notes. Each chapter deals with a different aspect, for example the pioneers, Panda cars or motorway patrols and notes the many changes which took place. The text is all at the beginning of each chapter which means one can read through this without interruption and then peruse the photos all together. The details of vehicles used are accurate and include technical specifications and there are details of different routes taken by individual police forces for vehicle purchasing. An excellent read with many
