...and yes, we managed to see our house in a photograph dated about 1910. Though in the distance! Great on photographs, but not so great on commentary... the author insisted on making sure that we "notice the almost complete absence of traffic" on every page. But, having said that, you don't buy these kinds of books for the little captions, nor for the very large pictures of odd-looking men who used to live in
