Uxbridge may appear like any old London suburb, but it is in fact rich in history, partly due to its path on the main London to Oxford coaching path. It has been a town for hundreds of years and many of the surrounding areas are mentioned in the Domesday book. This book chronicles just some of the characters that made this small town a place of interest.
