4.0 out of 5 stars A great book that use's sources from the Zulu War., 18 Dec 1999
In the proccess of writting an adventure book set during the Zulu War of 1879 I wanted as much information as possible. The book is a great read that use's sources from the War itself, the sources come mostly from newspaper reporters. This means that you get information on events and how they affected the people in Natal, the movements of the British army and details on public mood. The battles are all mentioned although sadly it goes into little detail about the battle of Rorkes Drift. But on the whole a great book and one I recommend to anybody wishing to learn more about the War of 1879.
