Joan Jonker has again created characters who you just love and want to be friends with for life. However, this book is entitled 'ONE RAINY DAY" and not 'DON'T LEAVE ME LONELY". Therefore, if you really want to read this book, look for it by its correct title. It is a book that you just do not want to end. Joan Jonker puts so much feeling into the characters of her books which draws the reader right into the warmth, humour and love of Liverpool Scousers. It would be wonderful if the TV stations would adopt some of Joan's novels forTV entertainment instead of the idiocy that is presently on the air.

I have just finished reading this book . I loved the characters it was again one of Joans books that i could not put down . I hope there is a follow on to this book so we can see how Poppy is enjoying married life. keep writing Joan your books have the abillity to make you laugh and cry.

I waited eagerly for Joans latest novel and I wasnt disappointed, I love the new Characters, Poppy and Charlotte! I wonder if Joan will write a sequel about them as it deserves one. Its such a refreshing change to read about happy times. A Great read.
