The two murdered girls were both associated with the Shelseley Lodge, a women's refuge and also the place where Charlie holds her self-defence classes. Taking a job as security at the nightclub, Charlie witnesses things that she does not like and her suspicions are raised, especially when a couple of heavies are sent round to frighten her. Charlie has vowed that she will never let a man have control over her again. But does she really have that killer instinct? This is an exciting crime thriller featuring an attractive heroine. But when the killer starts taking a very personal interest in her it becomes clear that he isn't going to give her that option...
