Zoe Barnes' varied career has included stints as a hearing-aid technician, shorthand teacher, French translator, and the worst accounts clerk in the entire world. When not writing her own novels, she translates other people's and also works as a semi-professional singer.

Zoe Barnes' books are deteriorating with the release of the next. Conversations are stilted, too much use of the christian name and totally unrealistic. Hot Property is even worse than Bumps - the story is silly and the question so what? springs to mind throughout. The inclusion of the pig is ridiculous - the authoress should read Hannibal and see how to effectively include swines in a novel.

This book is typical of the style of Zoe Barnes and will surely be a hit with anybody who has read her previous books Hitched and Bumps.Claire is a twenty-something, single drifter. Unable to find the perfect job she ambles from place to place until she inherits a seemingly uninhabital cottage from her great aunt.Although this story is slightly predictable it has a very 'feel-good' vibe and is compulsive reading as it contains sub-plots which are compulsive in themselves. To put it bluntly:- a damm good read!
