Product Description
Amazon.co.uk Review
Like any self-help book worth its salt, this one has a long, self-explanatory subtitle: "A practical and intuitive guide to discovering your life's path". This tantalising promise is extended to you by the co-author of The Celestine Prophecy: An Experiential Guide, and whether it works for you will doubtless depend on what you made of that extraordinarily successful narrative of Mayan mystery and heady self-discovery.

In keeping with her intuitive theme, healer and teacher Adrienne suggests that opening the book and starting anywhere is just as valid a way to read her as to start at page one. But wherever you begin, you'll gain access to a feast of inspirational techniques and challenges designed to allow you to draw out a greater understanding of your own life's shape and purpose.

This is a workbook, and the emphasis is challengingly interactive. There are lists to make and stories to analyse, numerology tutorials and self-assessment exercises, brain-storming sessions and support circles. This is a great book for anyone who liked The Celestine Prophecy and believes in the creative power of "coincidence"--but also, perhaps, if you are just someone who is stuck in a rut, stagnating in your job, but can't face drawing up another of those pointless "five-year plans". --Dan Fielder

Not a great fan of self help books, this is an excellent piece. Basically Adrienne takes you step by step through a series of texts and questions, and you find yourself understanding more about who you are and why you are the type of person you have become. You also end up with an understanding of what sort of work you should pursue. None of the answers are in the book, the book basically draws the answers out of you - I expect similar results would come from working with a good therapist but this is a lot cheaper! The only thing that slightly distracts are the few references to religion, although they appear more to be a spiritual reference rather than a prescibed religion. For instance the person who got in touch with themselves by throwing in their highly paid job to bag groceries at the local supermarket - luckily you probably won't find yourself having to resort to such extremes -unless it turns out that bagging groceries is your life purpose - in which case good luck to you!
