A dolphin, called Donald, changed Horace Dobbs' life forever. He met Donald while on a family holiday on the Isle of Man. One day, Donald unexpectedly picked up Dobbs' 13 year-old son and gave him a ride around the harbour. Entranced by the experience, Dobbs decided to investigate the mystical mateship that seems to exist between dolphins and humans.

That was over 20 years ago. Since then, Dobbs has written a number of books on the subject (The Magic of Dolphins, Tale of Two Dolphins, Dance to a Dolphin's Song and Journey into Dolphin Dreamtime); his latest, Dolphin Healing, concentrates on the curative abilities of the creatures. "Dolphinologists" have discovered that "man's cousin in the sea" can connect with humans on a number of levels: Psychological, physiological and spiritual.

Dobbs' book aims to back this claim by containing remarkable stories of people whose lives have been transformed by their encounters with dolphins. Apparently, dolphins have been seen to produce improvements in children with autism, lifted people out of clinical depression and relieved sufferers of ME. Others claim to have experienced a telepathic exchange of energies.

Synopsis
The book describes the history of man's interaction with dolphins and the positive benefits of this relationship. The science of dolphin healing and the healing power of sound is also explained clearly. Horace recounts some of the many amazing examples of dolphin healing he has encountered and examines the success of organised dolphin healing around the world including the work of the famous Dolphin Healing Centre in Kyoto, Japan. Finally the book explores ways in which we can all experience dolphin healing, including the use of photography, film and audio tapes.
