Mari was the Reiki master that attuned me, so I can say first hand she is an absolutely amazing woman, with a complete dedication to Reiki, and this is nowhere more apparent as she writes - peppered with annecdotes to make it more accessible, and written in a very fluid style, this book has all the needed information to take your Reiki practice beyond the basic. Hand positions do not matter so much in themselves but the attitude which is carried by this book is essential to develop your Reiki, and 'knowing' where to put your hands is a great confidence booster (which is necessary to be able to just let the energy flow, in which case it goes to where it's needed anyway!). As with all her books her interpretation of Reiki energy (as divine unconditional love) leads her to an opinion on which I am also agreed - Reiki will do wonderful things to this world, and with this she has definitely done her bit (as well as initiating over 20,000 students since she was herself attuned! Imagine if every one that did Reiki went on to do such things - the world WOULD be a better place!)!

Having read several Reiki books I have decided that this one is my favourite. I read this book when considering doing a reiki course and it proved to be a very good read. Since completing my degree 1 in Reiki I find the book an essential reference guide to treating a wide rand of ailments. A must have for all those other reiki enthusiasts out there!

This book is an excellent source of information for students and practitioners alike. Most Reiki books deal with the basics...this one gets right to the point. Helps you to give the client a treatment for their specific condition. Excellent...highly recommend this book!!
