It's about two twins experiencing the goodness of St.Clare's, 21 Jan 2000
By A Customer
Pat and Isabel, the identical O'Sullivan twins, have settled in happily at St.Clare's. Of course the girls get into mischief but they make friends with everyone. Everyone, that is, except bad tempered, sulky Margery Fenworthy, whom nobody likes. But then a very dramatic event at school changes all that.

I really, really like any book of Enid Blyton's, but at first, the book was a bit boring, but then every page I turned became much, much more exciting than the last, and I had to go everywhere with my eyes on the book! I definetly reccomend it,because if you like Enid Blyton, you'll absolutely love thid book 'cos it's one of Enid's best.

Lucy and Margery, 20 Aug 2007
Three new girls and St. Clare's... Lucy, Margery and the twins' cousin Alison.
Margery - sulky, rude, aggressive - is not likeable, but interesting! Lucy is her very opposite - friendly, pretty, gifted, with excellent marks - a little too perfect. Usually I don't like too perfect characters without any flaws - they get on my nerves -, but Lucy is quite nice.
Lucy and Margery are the real main characters, that's why I don't understand the book's title, it should have been "Lucy and Margery" instead of "The O'Sullivan twins" because you hardly notice anything of Pat and Isobel - except that someone plays nasty tricks on Pat (spoiling her needlework and so on).
I can only give 3 stars because the girls' behaviour is so terrible. No wonder they don't like Margery, but it is stupid to punish her for having been rude to Miss Lewis when she has apologized to the mistress and the teacher herself has forgiven her. And then the match... The girls want Margery to play in an important lacrosse match because she is excellent at games, but they decide not to cheer when she shoots a goal! In this situation, they make use of Margery, take advantage of her, but don't thank her - appalling! If Margery is so horrible, she shouldn't be allowed to play in a match in the first place! And then they accuse her (of spoiling Pat's needlework) without proof! Accusing someone without proof is almost the worst thing people can do and if the girls had any knowledge of human nature, they would realize that doing things secretly is not like Margery! Terrible... 3 stars for 2 interesting new girls.
