5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent map, the only one you need for France, 16 Aug 2005
By A Customer
Also started at Calais and worked my way south to Toulouse, via the Paripherique in Paris, and found this to be a good and very easy-to-read map. For my journey all the junction numbers matched up and I could even find my exact location by the bends in the road! Just a point to note if you do use this map, the main motorway service stations (i.e. with petrol stations, shop, canteen) are shown in thick blue semi-circles on the side of the motorway. The smaller rest areas (i.e. loos, rest area only) are shown in thin semi-circles. A handy tip if you're running out of petrol and need to know how far you've got to go before you can fill up!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great map, but either out of date or too up-to date!, 21 Jun 2005
What can you say about a road atlas of France? It needs to tell you where you are and how to get to where you are going. We started on page 1 (Calais) (in May 05) and the main motorway south (the A16) and it then all went funny - the junction numbers on the map do not correspond with the actual motorway. Now either the AA is ahead of the game and the French government is lagging behind or vice versa. But once that was overcome, the map was fine - very user friendly and easy to follow.

3.0 out of 5 stars Get the basics right!, 14 Oct 2005
Lovely clear map.

Unfortunately some motorways are incorrectly named. Also, some stretches of motorway have junction numbers indicated where there are none on the road. Further along the same motorway, the map shows no juction numbers on the map, just as the junction numbers appear on the motorway!

I'm glad we knew where we were going!
