Review

“important for all businesses… pressure to keep up with corporate best practice means it is a good idea to stay ahead of the training curve… resources to help. an updated version of the diversity training handbook offers details on developing a training framework.”

learning and development

“brimful of advice and procedures, and there would be a case for buying the book based on the content of every single chapter… this book works as a practical tool and as a study guide for personal development. i cannot see any reason why it shouldn’t sit in every organisation.”

training and coaching today

“sensitively addresses thorny issues by providing clear guidelines for dealing with stereotyping, racism, homophobia, sexism and disability.”

voluntary sector magazine

“uses work-based simulations to show the wide range of issues that may impact working lives.”

training and coaching today

“it is full of advice, and there would be a case for buying the book based on every single chapter. diversity training in action justifies the cover price alone… this book works as a practical tool and study guide for personal development. every organization should have one.”

personnel today

“in the diversity training handbook, clement and jones help hr, diversity or training managers to explore sensitive issues and prejudices, and create effective training programmes for colleagues.”

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must!, 29 Jul 2003
By Anna Morgan (South Wales) - See all my reviews
This book is exactly what it says it is, a practical guide. It is an easy to read guide that deals with many issues from making the case for diversity, designing training and dealing with the challenges and issues in the area of diversity, and many more - an essential tool for a trainers kitbag. Every trainer should have one.
