This was the second Hilary Bonner books I read - the first being 'The Cruelty of Morning' (which, by the way is also a cracker..!), and it is FULL of intrigue... Ms Bonner truly keeps you on the edge of your seat from a few pages in... You will not believe the outcome from reading the start of the book!

The book is set in the South West, and as a Bristol girl myself, references are very accurate, which makes the book all the more real - and in turn, all the more shocking. You will not be disappointed - this is a must-read book..!

This was my first encounter with Ms Bonner and I found the book extremely gripping - I couldn't put it down. My daughter and husband and various friends have also read it and were equally enthralled. It twists and turns throughout with several surprises near the end. I will now certainly read more from this author.

This is more than just a whodunnit about a serial killer targetting rent boys in the Bristol area. It features a facet of female sexuality that only a woman author could tackle convincingly. Like all Bonner's books, it's a fast unput-downable read and the denouement, involving one of the ultimate taboos, will make you gasp.
