Product Description

Product Description

Caroline Oates was little more than a vegetable. KGB torturers had seen to that in Berlin ten years before, when the Austrian network was blown apart. So why kill her? And why now? When her ex-lover Alec Hillsden sets out to discover the answer, he finds himself trapped in a maze of lethal deceits.

4.0 out of 5 stars A well crafted thriller, 30 July 2005
Of the thriller books I have read recently, this one stands out as a very good example of its type. It has plenty of suspense, an excellent plot, and is well written. Bryan Forbes appears to someone who knows his subject and this comes through as the story unfolds and as he allows the character and motivation of the principle participants to gradually become apparent. This is well worth a read and I highly recommend it.
