1.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy!, 14 Sep 2004
By A Customer
If you think this book will be full of exciting mysteries then you will be sadly mistaken like I was. Very disappointing to read as the majority of the stories are not mysteries. Buy if you want some mediocre short stories.

3.0 out of 5 stars Some good short stories, 16 Aug 2006
By Terry Smith (Burntwood England) - See all my reviews
(TOP 500 REVIEWER)
As another reviewer has commented, the use of the word Mystery in the title is a misleading. But, what you have here is a collection of short stories from British writers, some well known and others not so. And, as a collection of short stories it's well worth three stars. Depending on your taste some stories will be good, others less so, but the benefit of a collection such as this is, if you don't like a particular story, you leave it and move onto the next. For fans of John Harveys Frank Elder trilogy - this collection includes "Going North", Elders first outing and well worth the admission price alone.
