5.0 out of 5 stars The only book of its kind - fantastic, 20 Oct 2005
This book is just what I have been looking for! It makes teaching research methods fun! It is very colourful and clearly laid out with lots and lots of activities to do in class or to set for homework. But it is also really detailed and accurate. A really good balance especially if you have a mixed class.

One of the really fantastic things about this book is all the preparation for the Practical Investigations exam. it has a chapter on what exactly should go in the PI folder as well as help in getting students to prepare for all the possible questions in the exam.

The chapter on Y13 coursework is FANTASTIC and the best thing I have seen for the Newspaper Assignment - it is really clear how to go about this project and get good marks. The material is interesting and will help motivate students to use their psychology well in this difficult project. All the examiner's comments are really useful so you can see what gets what marks and why. I have been teaching OCR for 5 years and this is the best thing on the market for Practical Investigations and Coursework Units. I am just trying to work out how I can get my school to buy one for each of my students....
BUY IT!
