5.0 out of 5 stars At Last! A book that isn't a load of gibberish!, 28 Dec 2001
I studied with this book for my GCSE course with OCR. It is very clear and easy to read (good for those of us who don't have time to read essays of garble to get to the point!). It's pages are coloured, interesting and much better than some of the cheap revision guides you get. This book is great for revision as it has easily set out key points and yet detailed enough to use as a class textbook. You can be totally reliant on this book for the GCSE exam and there is no need to dip into a great collection. It is more than adequately detailed for higher tier. A real precious gem for anyone planning on doing there exam this or future summers. Really recommend it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Physics for Everyone, 13 Mar 2005
By A Customer
'Physics for You' is the user-friendly alternative to those dull pages of pure scientific jargon we shrink from being covered with. It's easy to use as a catalogue of explanations to any 'physics' related queries you might have because it's visually stimulating and structured well, using the essential scientific terms without getting lost in purely technical language. The diagrams are clear and demonstrate good variety, and photographs provide a relief from your typical science handouts' all text and no sting. I recommend this book to any beginners of the genre (or even those geniuses who need a fast reference). Even the cover needs noting as a true work of art. My full recommendation.

1.0 out of 5 stars Answers?, 13 Jan 2005
By A Customer
I had this book for my IGCSE course. I found that it really was quite terrible. It asked many rhetorical questions, but never provided the answers. Information was very often just skimmed over. I much prefered to use a proper revision guide and class notes than this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars rocket since made simple
This is a really useful book. I bought it as a teacher, as it has really simple but clear explanations of some quite complex/abstract ideas. Read more
