5.0 out of 5 stars A 'must-read' for any teacher, 14 Sep 2009
By C. Mackintosh (Scotland) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I first read an earlier edition of this book in 1987 and it has had a profound effect on my career as a teacher.

For anyone who cares about the nurturing of the emotional intelligence of young people and the undoubted benefits of basing their teaching strategies on meaningful, quality relationships, this book is a 'must read'.

It is a book which I have re-read on several occasions throughout my 29 year teaching career and each time I have felt that it has helped to refresh my approach.

Highly recommended for all teachers, whatever stage you are at in your career!
