a concise review of british bats and their environment that is pitched right in the middle ground betwween beginner's overview and large detailed studies [ which are suggested as further reading at the end of the book ] . this book provides excellent value despite the slimness of the volume . each aspect of bat life is covered in easy to understand language which makes 'bats of the british isles' an easy but nevertheless interesting book to read .
