Product Description

Review

'A funny, highly readable romp. Jess is inventive and smart and there are plenty of good, often surprising, jokes, and some neat observations' --Observer

`The novel is a delight with its cliffhanger chapter endings, incidents of nail biting tension and pacey humour. This is pink lit that girls (and boys with a copy in a plain wrapper) will love.' --Books for Keeps

"There's laughter all the way and a good old dose of romance" --Sunday Express

"With Girl, 15 we have a real star...the writing creates really enticing and endearing characterisation and brilliantly funny set pieces" -- School Librarian

`This is a hugely enjoyable and hilariously funny novel: just the ticket for summertime' Adele Geras --Guardian

Product Description

Girl, 15, Charming but Insane, huge bum, massive ears, seeks - well, seeks Ben Jones, but failing that, large Muslim-type burka garment to cover her deformities. Life can be trying when your best friend is a goddess, you are a woeful underachiever, and Ben Jones won't even look in your direction. Painfully spot on, "Girl 15" reveals with Technicolor precision the agony and the ecstasy (and the embarrassment) of being a teenager. With razor-sharp observation and deadpan humour we are offered a privileged peek at the life of Jess, 15, charming, but most definitely insane. This novel has a unique voice and humour that will make you want to read it again and again - if you can bring yourself to put it down in the first place.

5.0 out of 5 stars Girl, 14, loved this book, 7 Dec 2006
By <3 Sophie <3 (ENGALND!) - See all my reviews
This book is so addictive it is unbelievable. I started it on Friday night and Saturday evening I had finished it. It made you laugh out loud so many times and Jess (main character) actually seems like someone you can relate to. This book is only the first in the series and can't wait to buy the second one from amazon now! Well worth reading!

5.0 out of 5 stars Must read for any teens! Wonderfully portrayed!, 19 Mar 2006
By L. Hoyle "lucyhoyle2" (England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Last year, I saw this book in a book shop and thought it would be a GOOD read. I was about to enter my teenage years and from the blurb it seemed fun! When I came to read it, I didn't quite realise how GREAT it was going to be! Poor Jess, everything seems tp be going wrong for her! Sue Limb (author) tells the story with a sense of TRUTH about it, and you can really understand the difficulties that Jess faces in the first of this series! I couldn't wait to buy the next book and I am now waiting in agony to purchase the next one when it is realised! ANY TEEN MUST READ THIS BOOK! YOU CAN'T HELP BUT LOVE IT FROM START TO FINISH!!
