Product Description

Product Description
There was a terrible mistake. Wayside School was supposed to have been built with thirty classrooms all next to each other in a row. Instead, it was built with the thirty classrooms all on top of each other - thirty stories high! That may be why all kinds of strange stuff happens at Wayside School. Especially, on the thirteenth floor. It is a school full of unusual characters too. Mrs Gorf the meanest teacher in the world. Terrible Todd who always gets sent home early. John who can only read upside down. It is a crazy mixed up school brilliantly brought to life by the irresistible Louis Sachar.

From the Author
Third graders love hearing Wayside School
Each year I read aloud the Wayside School books. Sometimes I change the name of the characters to one of the kids in my class. We have alot of fun with the stories. We chose to feature L. Sachar during Children's Book Week this Year. He really turns the kids on to literature! --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

5.0 out of 5 stars Louis Sachar uses alot of imagination in his books., 30 Jun 1999
By A Customer
I think it took alot of work to write this book. I liked the way Chapter 19 was really short because there really was no 19th story, because there is no 19th story in the school building. That was clever! And I would like to try an ice cream flavor named Nancy!

3.0 out of 5 stars I think that Louis Sachar writes some funny books., 30 Jun 1999
By A Customer
I think that all the stories had to take alot of imagination. And it is really hard to have such good imagination like that. I think the story was funny and interesting. And I think that some parts weren't so funny at all.
