Product Description

Product Description
It is the Dark Ages and something evil is stirring. A ship sailing from Noviomagus across the channel to Gaul, is caught in a ferocious storm and dashed against the rocks. There are only two survivors of the wreck, both children, and they are tossed up on the shore with a mysterious trunk. An old man rescues them from the beach. He seemed to know they would be coming, and he also appears very interested in the trunk. They cannot escape what lies inside, it is both good and evil, but binds itself to their destiny and sets them on a path which they are forced to follow, and face what lies at the end.

About the Author
A J Lake is a former teacher with a lifelong interest in the period of British History known as the Dark Ages. She is inspired by mountains, storms, and places of ice and snow. She secretly hopes that dragons are real.

This is a good book to buy for a child because it is fast and fun and you cant put the book down (unless you read on to 2'oclock in the morning and fall asleep)there is a major downfall for this book ... you have to read the other two (The book of the sword,The circle of stone if have not yet read the last one yet but i will keep my review up to date when i have read it!
