Product Description

Product Description

A brilliantly effervescent sequel to "When Isla Meets Luke Meets Isla", where Isla and Luke, having started their relationship, find that the path of true love rarely runs smooth. What are you supposed to do when you love somebody but you find that you have different plans for the future? And then Isla does something to Luke that anybody would find hard to forgive. Will Luke forgive Isla? Can Isla do anything to make it right again? The narrative, written in alternative viewpoints from Isla and Luke, and in a brilliantly readable stream-of-consciousness style, totally captures the voice of today's teenager.

From the Publisher

The sequel to 'When Isla meets Luke meets Isla' which was chosen as one of the top 5 teenage fiction books of the year!
The Telegraph, Saturday 22nd November 2003
Books of the Year
by William Leith
Rhian Tracey’s When Isla meets Luke meets Isla’ deals with two common problems – displacement and divorce. Isla, an Edinburgh girl who loves the beauty of the Scottish capital and the neatness of her bedroom, is forced to move, with her family, to a grotty house in Maidstone.
At school, she’s not a member of the girl gang called The Gaggle, who all smoke and wear pink hooded tops and lots of mascara.
Here, she meets Luke, her only hope. Luke has been feminised by what he calls "the inevitable" – his parents’ divorce and the fact of living with his mother.
"You find out far too much about women, especially middle aged women", he says.
A gritty and poignant story.

5.0 out of 5 stars A good read for parents too, 3 Dec 2003
By A Customer
I saw Rhian Tracey on TV last night talking about 'When Isla meets Luke meets Isla' and this book 'Make or break'.
I have read the first book and found it really useful for dealing with teenagers and trying to understand how they think.
I am sure that this sequel will be equally as relevant.
If it is as good as her first novel it will be a valuable read for any parent of a teenager and those teenagers who have followed the story which ends on a cliffhanger will be desperate to find out what happens next.
