Review

'A hilarious look at the worst hairstyles ever and a great little gift for the follically challenged in your life' Vogue 'Hysterical' Daily Express

Product Description

As a collection of the most disturbing hairstyles ever, "Bad Hair" Days isn't one for the faint-hearted! Mullets, quiffs, bouffes and flicks are just some of the follicle atrocities to have emerged from barbers' shops over the last 30 years - indeed, today they are often still proudly on display in the windows of traditional barbers. Here, collected in book form for the first - and possibly last - time, are the best of the worst of these gems, culled from the windows of hairdressers across the land. Now facing a tough onslaught from the sleek new designer salons, it may not be long before the familiar barbers' poles and cutthroats vanish forever, so if you're into tightly permed fringes or a Lady Di wave effect (and in 1981 a lot of men were), read on another hair-raisingly shocking book from the publishers of "The Mullet".

5.0 out of 5 stars Bad Hair Day, 1 April 2003
By A Customer
This is the most fantastically kitsch photographic record of hair styles from mainly 60’s and 70’s. The book is split into two sections, bad haired men and bad haired woman. I bought this for a friend after their hair had been massacred at a trip to the hairdresser. It cheered her up because she realized nothing could ever be bad as some of the creations they’ve included in this book! There is a minimal amount of text, but it’s not needed as the pictures speak volume. It’s become a favourite!

5.0 out of 5 stars Could become a classic?, 30 Jan 2008

It's not just the hair styles in this book that make it a possible cult classic. It is the beards. Truly awesone!

I saw this book for the first time this morning (our hairdresser brought it round, possibly as a terrible warning to our 11 year old) and I can thoroughly recommend it - but not as a gift, unless it is to a bald person or someone without any tonsural self-doubts whatsoever.

It is a book to be cherished, visited and revisited regularly. Only one room in the house will do really!
