I keep being asked "Why did you choose Tom Jones ?" The truth is he chose me. In various guises I have been working in the entertainment industry for nearly a quarter of a century and I have met and interviewed hundreds of pop, movie and sports stars. I had toyed with the idea of a celebrity biography for years but neve found the right subject.
This biography of Tom Jones explains how he grew up in a tiny South Wales village, then shot to superstardom. The author has talked to close friends, family, business associates and to Tom Jones himself, to build a rounded portrait of the man from the Welsh Valleys who has become a pop legend.

Why Tom Jones?
I keep being asked "Why did you choose Tom Jones ?" The truth is he chose me. In various guises I have been working in the entertainment industry for nearly a quarter of a century and I have met and interviewed hundreds of pop, movie and sports stars. I had toyed with the idea of a celebrity biography for years but neve found the right subject.
In Tom Jones I found a star who had never been fully appreciated. He is literally the last of a dying breed, the real tenement to mansion , rags to riches, superstar. A Voice of immense talent which was never fully realised. And then there were the women… hundreds of them. He was a great subject.
Throughout two years of research and writing I have tried to place Tom in the context of his time… and his position. I was fortunate to have interviewed him twice before I started the book which gave me tremendous insight into what really drives him.
Rather than prattle on about how wonderful my book is interested readers can check it out for themselves on my website. On it are brief excerpts from the book and some information on how I wrote the book and the people I interviewed for it.
