5.0 out of 5 stars An Excellent read, 28 Dec 2000
By Mr. Paul D. Evans (Brecon, Wales) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
At last! Someone has bought Everton's history into the 21st century. We seem to be swamped with books of Manchester United this and Manchester United that, and the only Everton literature available seem to stop at the 1992-1993 season, when we were blessed with the services of Preki and Warzycha!

Surely a lot has hapened since then? With the delight of the 1995 F.A. Cup final and the nerve grating relegation scraps of 1992/93 and 1997/98. And all these are detailed in the book, it bringing us bang up to date, right up to the end of last season including the Bill Kenwright 'True Blue' takeover.

Platt also Provides all the results, scores and scorers of every match from 1888 to 2000, which in itself is an excellent reference guide.

My only criticism is perhaps Platt could have included the teams as well as the results, apart from that it was the best twenty quid I spent this Christmas!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Buy this book now!, 4 Jun 2001

An essential guide for those who don't "know their 'istory" and a fantastic set of memoirs for those that do. From the humble begginings as St. Domingo's to Walter Smiths reign, through Dixies 60 goals in one season and numerous honours, this book has it all, and as an added bonus it's well written and factually acurate! Buy this book now.
