It's difficult to write a review without giving away the plot - which I really do not want to do with Firestorm. After the deceptively matter-of-fact beginning came a passage of drama which I found terrifying and gripping. No crazed psychopaths here, but an impervious natural world that decides to do the "red in tooth and claw" bit. An admirable heroine, and an impressive description of the setting really ring the changes with the traditional "one of us here must have done the murder" plot.
