About the Author
David Batty made his league debut for Leeds United in 1987 at the age of 18, and went on to play 211 games for the club, winning the league championship in 1992, before moving on to Blackburn Rovers in 1993. He helped Blackburn to the title in 1995 and then went to Newcastle United in 1996. In 1998 he moved back to Leeds. He has won 42 England caps since 1991.
