About the Author

Adele Geras was born in Jerusalem in 1944. Her first book appeared in 1976 and since then she has published over 80 titles for children and young adults. Her latest novel for teenagers, Troy was shortlisted for the Whitbread Children's Book Award 2000 and the Carnegie Medal 2001.

A Kid's Review
A very good book. Descriptive and set in 1895. I enjoyed the book but it wasnt amazing.

(REAL NAME)   

For our granddaughter Victoria's 11th birthday in December we bought Adele Geras set of books "Historical House" these were mostly bought through Amazon and she has really enjoyed each of them. They are 'stand-alone' stories yet comprise a great set of adventure, intrigue and history.
