I bought this to read to our 3 and a half year old daughter in advance of our house move. It is a simple book but has been very useful to us in raising issues in a way which makes it easier for her to discuss her concerns. She often asks for it at bedtime and this gives us an opportunity to reasssure her that all the things from her room will be taken carefully to our new house, and to talk about making new friends, etc. It also allows her to see some of the inevitable distruption (packing boxes, moving lorry, people in the house). She is now quite excited by real life developments which she recognises proudly as "just like in my moving house book!".
