Excellent for inquisitive toddlers, 29 April 2006
I got this from our old library when my eldest was toddling and have been searching for it for my younger daughter since she was about 18 months.
Essentially the little yellow rubber duck is hidden on each page and the child has to find it. Excellent for problem solving and especially for babies of this age who love to find somehting they think mum and dad can't see! Obviously after the first two times the child knows exactly where the duck is but this in no way detracts from their enjoyment of this book at this age although it does mean the book has a fairly limited life span.
An excellent choice for this age group though.

A book for a younger child, 24 Oct 2006
i think this is a lovely book but i think you should buy it for a one year olod rather than any older as my daughter is nearly two and she lost interest as soon as she knew where the duck was, whereas a one year old is a bit more forgetful and when the book comes back out they have forgotten a bit more than a two year old. I think overall this is a lovely book but please i do recommend that you do not buy it if your child is over about 1 and a half as that year really does make the difference

A great introduction to Usborne Farmyard Tales and Phonics Books, 30 Nov 2007
This board book has a simple storyline based on the bedtime bath routine accompanied by clear, friendly illustrations. The theme is one that is identifiable by this age group. Plus the duck is so cute. It was an instant hit with my then one-year-old.
The Usborne people are clearly fond of this duck too, as it pops up in lots of their books: Now that my older child has the Usborne Phonics set, my youngest is keen to participate by looking for the hidden duck on each page. It also makes regular appearances in Usborne's Farmyard Tales, which at nearly two, my youngest is now ready to appreciate.
