4.0 out of 5 stars A book that keeps you turning the pages till the end..., 2 Feb 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Dangerous to Know (Paperback)
Dangerous to Know is very well written. The narrative is by four of the characters, which is very well done because it gives insights of the thoughts of the characters themselves but also how other characters view them. The book is a mystery trying to search the truth through the narration of the four characters. The narrators come to reveal many secrets that have been neatly locked away as family secrets for a number of years. The book is impossible to put down and absorbs the reader not only into the book but completely into the shoes of the characters. An excellent book.

4.0 out of 5 stars A nice holiday read, 23 May 2009
This review is from: Dangerous to Know (Paperback)
I took this book on holiday as light reading whilst lounging in the sunshine.

This book held my attention all the way through.

However, it does tend to meander for two thirds of the book, until suddenly a new twist in the plot is introduced which suddenly makes the story take on a different slant and then the book becomes a more interesting and compelling read.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not one of her best, 3 May 2007
By Mrs. A. M. Chadwick (Darwen, Lancashire, England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Dangerous to Know (Paperback)
Over the years I've read a lot of Barbara's books, (and will be placing other online reviews of her works).

This novel tells the story of an ex wife trying to find out about the life of her ex husband. Sebastian was 56yrs old and suddenly his life ended!! He was the head of the Locke clan. Vivienne, (ex wife), sets out to find what really happened to Sebastian, (ex hubby), she also finds out more about his life and finds that she didn't really know him. You have to read the story as I really don't want to spoil it for you.

This novel isn't one of her best but I did enjoy and found it a compelling read.
