I borrowed this book from my local library, and it became an instant hit with my then 2 year old son. So big a hit, in fact, that I had to extend the loan period while we waited for the hastily placed order to arrive. Almost a year later, and it is still my son's joint favourite story, ranked by him alongside the Gruffalo. A classic; well worth the price.

I have been made to read this book every night for the last month, my 2 year old daughter absolutley loves it. Even after reading it so many times she still manages to find new and interesting things within the illustrations all the time. Now I just have to find some more books that step up to the mark.

i've read this book on a regular basis to my three children and they all love it. the story, told in rhyme of a little monkey's adventures is catchy and memorable and the illustrations perfectly capture the little monkey's personality. a lovely book and one which can be read over and over, i can't recommend it highly enough.
